The range
Six things I make, week in week out.
The weekly menu comes out of these. What’s on changes every week; how I make it doesn’t.

Brownies
Fudgy, heavy, and never dry. What I’m best known for.
Cookies
Baked to order. Stuffed, or plain and enormous.
Cookie Pies
A whole cookie, baked as a pie, cut into wedges.
Brookies
Brownie on the bottom, cookie on the top.
Cheesecakes
Set in a pot, layered, and heavy on the topping.
Cakes
Celebration cakes to order, built around the occasion.
Brownies & traybakes
Heavy, fudgy, and never dry.
What I’m best known for, and what people keep coming back for. Biscoff, pistachio, chocolate orange, whatever’s on that week’s list.

Celebration cakes
Cakes built round the occasion.
Birthdays, weddings, christenings and the odd 21st. Tell me the date, the occasion and roughly how many people, and I’ll work the rest out with you.
Custom cakes start at £60. That’s the minimum for a made-to-order cake, and the final price depends on the size and the design.
Ask about a cake
Kids’ birthdays and character cakes
Toppers, colours, the lot. Whatever you’ve got in your head, I’ll build it.

Bespoke boxes and platters
Not everything is a cake. If you want something built for a birthday, an office, or a get-together, tell me the occasion and roughly how many people and I’ll put it together.
The back catalogue
Everything I’ve had out of that oven.
Brownies, brookies, cookie pies, cheesecakes, cinnamon rolls and the cakes I build round an occasion. All of it mine, all of it made at home.

About
Welcome to the funhouse.
Jay’s Bakes is a family thing. It runs out of our kitchen in Aintree, and my wife Laura and our two kids, James and Ava, are all part of getting it out the door.
Inclusivity is a big part of it, and having neurodiverse kids helping really does make us unique. Everything is made from scratch, in small batches, for the week it’s being sold in. Nothing is frozen and nothing is bought in.
Brownies, traybakes and treat boxes are what I’m proudest of, but whether it’s a birthday, a celebration, or just a quiet afternoon with a brew, I’ll have something for it.
Jay’s Bakes, established 2026. Registered as a food business with Liverpool City Council and waiting on my first inspection date.

Questions
The things people ask.
How do I order?
Message me on WhatsApp on 07892 636517 with the treats you want. There’s no checkout to fight with. You pick, I confirm, and that’s the order placed.
When does the menu change?
Every week. I drop a new line-up and make it all to order, so once a week’s gone it’s gone. This page always shows what’s on now.
When do I need to order by?
Before the drop day fills up. The earlier the better, because it’s all baked to order and there are only so many hours in a kitchen. Message me and I’ll tell you what’s still open.
Do you deliver, or do I collect?
Both. I run deliveries across Merseyside, and I’m on a stall at The Car Booty every Sunday. Message me and we’ll sort which suits you.
Can you do a birthday or celebration cake?
Yes. That’s separate from the weekly boxes and I build it around what you want. Send me the date, the occasion and roughly how many people and I’ll take it from there.
I have an allergy. Can you work around it?
Message me before you order and I’ll tell you straight what’s in things. It all comes out of one small home kitchen that handles nuts, gluten, dairy and eggs, so I can’t promise anything is free from any allergen, but you’ll get an honest answer.
This week’s box is open.
